Safety first

Natural gas leaks can make people sick and can cause fires or explosions. If you smell gas, don't look for the leak yourself. Get everyone out, then call 911 or your gas company from outside. The utility shuts off the gas and makes it safe; we come in after to find and repair the leak.

New gas lines

Switching from an electric to a gas range, adding a gas dryer, or putting in an outdoor grill or fire pit all need a properly sized line. Too small a line starves appliances when several run at once. We size the run for everything on it, install shut-off valves at each appliance and pressure-test before turning the gas on.

Repairs

We replace leaking fittings, corroded sections and old flexible connectors, and move gas lines during kitchen and basement remodels.

Had backup and they came out in half hour on a Sunday and got the blockage resolved. They cleaned up after themselves. Very very professional people.

They tell me what is worth doing or not doing, and won't try to upcharge me. The work is always great. They are my go-to!

Water on the floor right now?

Call. A licensed plumber answers day or night, talks you through stopping the water, and gets on the road.

908-873-6686

Nights, weekends and holidays: emergency visits are an extra $250, paid upfront. We tell you on the phone before we drive out.

Do this now

  1. Shut the main valve. Usually where the water line enters, near the meter.
  2. Kill power to anything wet, from the breaker panel, if you can reach it dry.
  3. Open a low faucet to drain the pipes and take pressure off the leak.

Gas Line Services: common questions

I smell gas. What should I do?

Leave the house right away with everyone. Don't flip switches or use your phone inside. Call 911 or your gas company from outside. Once the utility makes it safe, we can repair the line.

Can you run a gas line for a new range or dryer?

Yes. We run new lines for ranges, dryers, water heaters, outdoor grills, fire pits and generators.

Do gas lines need a permit?

New gas piping in New Jersey generally needs a plumbing permit and inspection through your town's construction office. We handle that as part of the job.

How often should gas connectors be replaced?

Old uncoated brass flexible connectors should be replaced. We check connectors whenever we work on a gas appliance.
